Monterey 2016.12.17

What a delight to call the wedding celebration of Laura and Russel at the MCDC dance in Monterey. The music of Continental Drift was just right to keep the many first-timers oriented to the beat and the phrase and made this dance very successful. I'd planned a pretty easy evening, but it was almost all more experienced dancers that stayed after the break, so we got down to some more complex dances. I tried to select dances with a wedding title theme and it was pretty successful. Here's my program:
"La String Bean" (var) by Ron Blechner
"Tunnel Contra Dance" by  unknown
"Peace Through Dance" by Perry Shafran
"Trip to Monterey" by Jon Southard
"Rolling Waves" by  unknown
"Newlyweds’ Jig" by Mark Widmer
"Xs and Os" by Martha Wild
"Winter Wedding" by Steve Zakon-Anderson
"Kiss the Bride" by Jeff Spero
"The Stellar Husband" by Scott Higgs
"The Fabulous Couple" by Linda Leslie
